Industrial Doctorates
The participation of industrial financial partners in PhD theses will lead to the completion of an Industrial Doctorate. Part of the PhD tesis Project will be carried out in the industrial sector.
Employment Conditions
Employment conditions are aligned with the “Charter & Code” for researchers, Spanish and UPM regulations.
The salaries comprise personal income tax arrangements, social security coverage (spouse and children inclussion in the Spanish Healthcare System), and social benefits (parental leave with full pay, contribution to pension fund, severance payment, unemployment benefit, and health and accident insurance).
UPM places particular emphasis on work and family balance.
International Doctorates
ESRs will complete mandatory secondments to obtain the International Doctorate award. A minimum 3 months will be spent in prestigious institutions of higher education, universities or research centers outside Spain.
Working conditions
- 36-month employment contract with UPM.
- Status as MSCA fellows for the duration of the 36-month contracts.
- Incorporation to the corresponding research unit. Office and laboratory space. Collaborative environment.The necessary infrastructure, equipment, and material will be provided for the implementation of the PhD thesis.
